Our Activities
Outreach Work
Faire Arbeit Baden-Württemberg provides outreach support services. We go to the workplaces of people threatened by exploitative labour practices and offer information and assistance.
Evangelical Church Assembly 2025
With an impressive exhibition and a moving stage discussion, the Faire Arbeit Baden-Württemberg advisory centre was represented at the Church Assembly on 2 May 2025. At interactive stations covering sectors such as parcel delivery, care work, agriculture, and cleaning, visitors were made aware of labour exploitation – through experience stations, film excerpts, a labour law “wheel of fortune,” and personal conversations. Particularly moving was the story of a care worker who, despite a successful lawsuit, did not receive her wages. In the stage format “Who Does the Dirty Work?” our consultants discussed with author Sascha Lübbe the often invisible reality of migrant labour – and the necessity of recognising and naming exploitation.
Donation Account
For People Affected by Labour Exploitation
Many people affected by labour exploitation find themselves in existential crises. They are often particularly dependent on their employer. If they are dismissed, they not only lose their job but also their home – suddenly finding themselves on the street. Often, their wages are withheld, leaving them without the financial means to defend themselves and assert their rights.
To ensure that no one is left alone in such a situation, we have set up a donation account. Your donation helps finance emergency sleeping places, cover travel costs to our advisory centre or to court, and provide rapid, unbureaucratic support to people in acute crises.
Please help!
Every donation makes a difference and gives people in need hope and security.

Funding
The Faire Arbeit Baden-Württemberg Advisory Centre has been protecting migrant workers from the EU and third countries against exploitative employment since 2017, particularly in precarious sectors such as construction,
care, cleaning, agriculture, or logistics. The project offers multilingual legal advice, outreach support on-site, educational events, and digital information services. It primarily targets Romanians, Bulgarians, and Ukrainians in
the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region and across Baden-Württemberg. The aim is to empower affected individuals, enforce their rights, and facilitate access to fair employment through networking with companies and other stakeholders.
The project is 90% funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Baden-Württemberg through the European Social Fund. The current funding period runs from 01.01.2025 to 31.12.2027.

The Evangelical Church in Baden sees it as its mission to advocate for the protection of human dignity – including in the workplace. From this stance, it has supported the Church Service in the Workplace from the very beginning, promoting the Faire Arbeit Baden‑Württemberg Advisory Centre so that those affected by exploitation can receive competent assistance and assert their rights.
In addition, the German Trade Union Confederation and the City of Mannheim are important supporters.
